She gave a lot of people their first boner because of her place in pop culture as an overly sexualized 16 year old, so people tend to overrate her.
I kind of always thought she wasn't that great, compared to other famous celebrity type people. The white trash just oozes out, and she really isn't talented at all. Just a product of the marketing machine. She is still pretty enough though.
