Alert on my phone says 5 deputy clerks in KY agree to issue licences. I haven't read any articles on it, though.

Regardless of how she framed her actions under the advice of her attorney, I'd say she made her intent pretty well known when she talked about preserving the sanctity of marriage and all that other BS.
I just read Plaintiff's petition and while they say pretty much what you said, they threw in the civil right of marriage--not just the recent decision enunciating a right under the 14th for same-sex to be included in that definition. So if the Court couldn't find a reason to uphold the contempt under Obergefell equality, it probably used years of privacy case law from the abortion debate to say that Kentucky is placing an unconstitutional roadblock to prevent anyone and everyone from executing their civil right to marriage. Just a guess.

She will have a nice, fat GoFundMe account waiting for her when she gets out as long as she milks this for what it's worth. So I'm not terribly surprised by that decision.
When everybody has forgotten about this in 6 months, she'll be laughing to the bank.

Fact: This lady only became a Christian 4 years ago...AFTER her multiple marriages, etc. Everyone can change...and she did.
Fact: She was elected to this office and began her term in the beginning of 2015. The rules changed AFTER she took her oath.
Fact: The voters of KY spoke in mass and voted a few years ago to amend their constitution defining marriage as a union of one man to one woman. She is abiding by that document.
Fact: Only Congress can write law according to our Constitution. The Supreme Court does not write law...they can only make "rulings". Their decision is not "law".
Fact: She has a case...and a right to do what she is doing under the provisions of the 1st and 14th Amendments to the Constitution.
I struggle with what I would do in her shoes...but I applaud her for her courage to stand up for her beliefs. Hopefully, more people will show her kind of courage, instead of all of us bowing out to the vocal minority in the name of political correctness.

And it's her job to administer the laws based on those rulings.

According to the District Judge she didn't have a case. She lost when she tried to make this case.

She is only showing ignorance, dereliction of duty, and a willingness to pick and choose her enforcement of sin.

she's also interfering with a party trying to contract with the state.
[[ article 1 section 10 of the constitution ]] the obligation of contracts shall not be interefered with!

stupid people are saying, if she wants to act like that get out of a government capacity.
Well if she went into private catering baking business she would still be in the middle of this gay marriage thing because she would be forced to bake them a cake.
