So I started with pain last Sunday that continued through Wednesday but since then I haven't had any pain just a nagging urge to pee sensation but I am yet to pass the stone.

Wondering if the OT has any expertise on this or relatable experience!

Fluids, baw, lots of fluids and don't worry about catching the stone as you may never see it..you'll know when things are back to normal..fluids..

I think it took a few days for me to pass after the pain.

just be thankful that pain is over with until the next stone.

I had a lot of pain at first. That sensation you are talking about (the urge to pee without having anything left in you) happened right before it passed I think.

Drink a lot of water, cranberry juice, and avoid caffeine.

Serious question. What's the importance of catching it?

To determine whether it's sodium based or calcium. From there you can alter your diet so hopefully you won't get them again.

I mean I guess it could be in the bladder? Supposedly the doc told me that the urge to pee sensation meant it was close.... But I have been feeling that for like 3 days now!

The pain is when it travels from the kidney to the bladder (tube is much narrower) going from bladder to the toilet bowl is usually pain free and may very well go unnoticed, but you may continue to have frequency and urgency issues , just keep drinking lots of water and lots of people have done great drinking a few beers , if the sensations continue after a week or so , I would call a doc

ok...I was trying to figure out whether you had a kidney stone or a bladder infection. sounds like it was, in fact, a kidney stone. in my experience, the agonizing pain goes away once the stone makes its way into the bladder. I usually feel it when I piss it out but it is not excruciating (acutally kind of joyous).

that feeling in your taint region of needing to piss all the time is just because everything is irritated and raw, but will go away when the stone passes.
