People in this thread saying that this and that is impossible are clueless. It's possible if it exists that some of the intelligent life on other planets have been around for millions of years longer than we have.If you could go back in time and tell people in the 1700s about the internet or humans being able to travel to the moon you'd get a lot of the same negative "that's not possible" responses as people in this thread are giving about wormholes and traveling at the speed of light. I'm pretty sure that 300 years ago most people thought traveling at the speed of sound was just as impossible.
It's fun to debate but we have absolutely no concept of technologies that'll even be around 20 years from now.
Claiming anything one way or the other beyond 100 years into the future is doing nothing more than exercising your brain...... Which isn't a bad thing.
Also, with regards to life's "frailty" or rarity, life is proving to be more and more common every day a new study is released.
We are just now beginning to look past our own biases of what life is or can be.
Who's to say the majority of life doesn't come from hydrothermal vents on moons, giant whale looking jelly fish creatures that ride pressure zones in gas giant atmospheres, or bipedal carbon creatures on inner rocky planets that are extremely curious and aggressive.
There's just too many possibilities to dismiss anything.
