Got to see this little sucker on Natgeo the other night. Most fearless dog i've ever seen.

The dogs may be badass, but releasing a captive bear and chasing it doesn't fit any definition of sportsmanship that I recognize.

ETA, if I'm drawing the wrong conclusion from that series of pics, disregard my statement.

All kinds of under fed/abused mutts chase bears for the rednecks that radio collar dogs to "hunt" bears here in the mountains, what else does this dog do?

It's all fun and games until the bear decides he wants to kick the dogs arse.

I think the dogs rounded up the bear and the rangers trapped it for relocation and release elsewhere.

Remember, this was off Natgeo. They aint showing any politically incorrect bear baiting.

They don't always have to hunt with their master, as they can be trained to work with other people. However, they are prone to separation anxiety due to their very social nature. It is very unusual for a KBD to bite a human but it may kill another animal if it feels threatened. They are very social hunting dogs that prefer an outdoor environment, and need plenty of space to run free and get lots of exercise. In addition, they need a lot of mental and physical stimulation, as this breed is used to having a job to do. These traits tend to prevent the breed from becoming popular companion dogs. Karelian Bear Dogs are very territorial and will alert their handler to the presence of any strangers or other animals nearby that they do not know

They are clearly relocating that bear in the last pic. You idiots who think that is some type of caged/release hunt truly have no clue at all.
