It's not hard to figure out. Most people that eventually hit that subreddit are usually not the greatest socially calibrated individuals. A common theme is spending high school being nice to girl classmates, but not understanding the social aspects of dating and such. They do nice things (i.e. being a "nice guy") and wonder why that doesn't turn into sex while all the "assholes" treat girls like shite yet get laid like a mofo. Anger starts to build and so instead of some girls making bad decisions, all girls like assholes, and confirmation bias takes over.

Bam then these guys hit college, with zero self confidence in that particular area of life. Women and men alike can smell desperation a mile away, so yet again they see assholes getting laid and the confirmation bias sneaks in that all women want assholes blah blah.

It's a nasty cycle, and it's tough to short circuit.

I used to be right in the RedPill wheel house. I'm just lucky when I was a "Nice Guy", Reddit didn't really exist in my life.

I just laugh at how some of those guys have such intricate strategies for picking up wines with all sorts of acronyms.

Most of the posts there are garbage posted by Incels and betas. But there is some good stuff there. Generally the endorsed contributors and vanguards post good stuff

It's easy to weed out the garbage posts from the quality ones. One of the biggest complaints on the sub right now is how many beta losers post there and they upvote posts from other beta losers and it looks like a red pill consensus when it's really not

From what I understand, there's a bunch of different flavors. You have the ones that think in terms of a sexual economy (which isn't necessarily bad), but they apply a really messed up supply/demand where they assume women are the supply and men are the demand.

You have the pickup artists, which are just comically funny.

Then you have the loners who just use the forum to bitch about all the women they should be sleeping with, because they grew up watching tv/playing games that all show the "winner" or doer of good deeds earning the love of the female. These guys I feel bad for, but are usually the farthest gone. Once you build up that much resentment, it's tough to claw out of the pit.
