I've never been led to study that particular point in detail. I didn't know it was hotly debated. I don't even have a firm opinion one way or the other on the subject tbh.

It seems as though everyone is so miserable with their own lives that they rejoice in finding fault with someone else's...like wooo they aren't perfect after all lets talk shite about them.. Like someone else said 1 out of the 19...yes who knows what else has happened
But what if they learned from this, seen the hurt it caused the family members and corrected their action? Or what if he is still the same person? They have said many times that their family isn't perfect but it's by his grace they are forgiven and strive to do what is right..we are all given a free will, it's what we chose to do and actions to take that shows our character..

Again why would you talk about something so dark in your past when you and the parties supposedly have moved on..

It just seems to be more fuel to the fire for persecution toward Christians...

Of course I'm not defending the actions he is accused of, but how can the actions of a then 14 year old be leaked to the public

I like that actions 10+ years ago from him come to light fairly easily and is front page material, but getting the back ground record of Freddy Grey, Michael Brown, and Trayvon Martin in the last year of their life were untouched by the media.

No defense of his actions. Deplorable and unfortunate. They deserve to be vilified but I hope he seeks real forgiveness and receives it. Also Lena Dunham did this as well to her own sister.

Why TLC ever gave these people a platform to begin with is beyond me
Looks like TLC has yanked that platform away

Christians getting criticized = persecution

They can't continue to market this family like they do when this comes out?

The fact that the duggars knew ab it and still went on TV shocks me. I bet tlc did NOT know ab it.

NO and anyone who defends the hypocrisy and the basic nature of the show hiding this circumstance is pure dumb.

I agree with your sentiment. I'm Christian, but to call this persecution is pathetic.

Mama June Shannon railed against TLC and the Duggar family on Thursday, May 21, after the network continued to air 19 Kids and Counting amidst allegations that Josh Duggar had molested five girls — including, possibly, some of his sisters — back in 2002. Shannon, whose popular reality show was canceled last October in the wake of a report that she was dating a convicted child molester, told TMZ late Thursday night that she wanted to sue TLC for keeping 19 Kids and Counting on air.

Wasn't necessarily calling him being judged for what he did persecution...but rather how the the consensus toward "all" Christians and their views in this thread is looking or how it will eventually come out once all other media sources get a hold of it...

I agree as well. When heads are literally rolling in other countries it is hard for me to call anything we Christians face in america as persecution. Now, that is not to say I don't find it disturbing the way people attempt to silence and shame those who hold to a traditional marriage due to Christian beliefs.

Not all criticize...may not agree with but dont criticize..i was taught to show love toward everyone...sometimes it is hard but it's what is right..again what i was taught..I'm not gonna deny someone something just because they don't have the same beliefs as me...
