RIP and condolences

But seriously... what is with peoples' obsession in Louisiana with Johnny's Pizza? It was Dominos-level at best

You shut your whore mouth. Johnny's is the best.

Condolences to the Huntsman family. I got to meet Johnny many times and he is a down to earth, awesome guy. He did a ton for the Monroe community.

People from North LA are obsessed with it. I guess because it's a North LA business. BR has a lot better pizza than Johnny's available

I've never heard of Johnny's Pizza.

Sounds like a good thing.

I got to know him when he had just the one store across from Filhoil Hall back in the early 70s. Got to be such a regular customer that they would put my order on as soon as I walked in. Would get my anchovy pizza, go back to Filhoil and get to enjoy my pizza alone.

You realize that a lot of these places are franchise locations? It's like saying McDonald's can't do anything right because one store sucks.

Franchisees, managers, and employees really do matter.

RIP Mr. Huntsman.

Yep. About two months ago at the Farmerville location I had a bad experience with the help. Swore off that location.

When you live in Monroe, you have to find something to be excited about.

I know it's cool to say it's shitty pizza, but I enjoy it. It has a little nostalgia value for me though. Going to the Sunday buffet at the Tech Dr. location hungover AF was a sacred ritual for me in college.

We had a Johnny's in Winnsboro, the town I grew up in. People that don't "get" why we think it's so good simply never had the pleasure of having a Johnny's at their convenience. Rest easy, Johnny, I've eaten miles of your pizzas, sir!!

ETA: my uncle has a camp next to his on Davis Island and always said he was a classy gent.

I will quote my brother on this:

"Johnny's pizza may not be the best pizza in the world....but it is the best shitty pizza in the world."
