Has Cassidy responded to Kimmel yet?

And if Cassidy ever gets a hold of Kimmel's phone #, Jimmy's phone will be inundated with Cassidy's recorded calls like everyone else in Louisiana...That'll teach JK to frick with BC.

As you know, or probably don't, under the knew healthcare bill anyone with a pre-existing condition would not be covered. So kids like Jimmy's would not have the opportunity for healthcare. Before you start in with "he can afford it he's a rich celebrity" well think of the millions that won't be able to afford it. If you have a pre-existing condition then you might as well count your days under this new healthcare plan.

It's amazing how the left will keep spinning the same lies over and over in defense of a bad health insurance law. Insurance is not the same as healthcare.

quote:

Kimmel’s son didn’t lack health care. Neither would anyone else who needed surgery at CHLA. That’s because CHLA is a charity hospital with an endowment of hundreds of millions of dollars. Emergency heart surgery is not denied to babies based on ability to pay. The cost may just be extraordinary on the other end. Dr. Vaughn Starnes, the doctor who operated on both our children, isn’t in the business of denying dying babies surgery because their parents lack coverage. That would be true whether the parents picked up the check or the hospital did or the state did. Cost allocation is not the same thing as treatment availability.

The South has always been a punching bag. That's fine.

We will be standing strong when all else fall because of their lack of sanity, family... morals etc.

Which is why a big part of me wants it to die later, publicly, painfully, in a way that actually has catastrophic effects so that all this Prog demagoguery is laid bare and the True Believers have to grapple with the reality of that . This lets them off the hook because it's a life preserver.

Jimmy needs to stick with Karl Malone and Charles Barkley impressions.

This is a dumb argument. He can use his platform anyway he wants. You don't have to watch him. If it hurts his ratings because Rs stop watching that's a choice he gets to make.

I actually stopped watching him last year ahead of the election. Not because I necessarily disagreed with him, but because I had just watched the news. I didn't need it reported again with his opinions.

On the local level, Matt Moscona's son has a similar heart defect. Matt used his media platform to raise awareness about the situation and funds to support research and advanced medicine treatment. Not to trash congressional bills on healthcare.

In Kimmel's defense, "inbred" is a word that comes to mind when describing our Senate delegation's appearance and mannerisms.

Did anybody actually take the time to look this up to realize that Kimmel wasn't referring to Cassidy; he was referring to John Kennedy.

Kimmel calls Louisiana senator 'inbred' during latest health care monologue
quote:

“I should not be the guy you go to for information about health care, and if these guys — like inbred John Kennedy — would tell the truth for a change, I wouldn’t have to.”
Obviously this doesn't make it any more or less acceptable, but it's odd that so many are outraged and can't take the time to make sure they have accurate information for that outrage.

It makes it less acceptable IMO because he is simply calling a guy that claimed he was no more an expert than Charlie sheen on healthcare. Not the guy he is also calling a liar.

So he is just calling Kennedy inbred simply because he is from LA. frick that dude

Eta: either way, he was using the term inbred as an insult to southerners, just for the hell of it. Not sure how anyone can stand on a soapbox in this day and age and try and preach with that sort of prejudice in his heart.

Regional Bigotry is what uneducated angry losers do. Unless they are Progs. Then it's learned and compassionate and we should all pause to consider its nuanced brilliance.

If Jimmy Kimmel is as confident in his knowledge about healthcare as he thinks he is, he will invite Ben Shapiro onto his show. Very coincidentally, Shapiro's daughter suffers from the same condition Kimmel's son does and was operated on by the exact same doctor in the exact same hospital. You can't deny that this is personal for either of them.

The a-hole that started this thread and woke up the Poliboarders needs to serve his penance by slamming his balls into a plugged in waffle iron.

Please don't use that word. According to Pimp, it's a hurtful word used to delegitimize opposing thoughts.
