I'm good at taking my shirt off. The problem is I can't keep a long enough stick the beat the gays off with.

I'm 48 and I learned before I was 40 that I was better at business than most. I loved it. I was winning at it every time I tried. I didn't take it personally, I took it as a game that I played hard. Most people never were able to go third person on it. I lived there so that gave me strategic understanding of the things I was doing tactically. And what not to bother with. That's really the biggest part.

I like being a jack of all trades master of none. May not be a pro at/expert on any one thing, but I can do pretty much anything better than the average person. Which is nice.

Except sucking dick. And gay stuff.

Start with shooting long range rifles, hunting with hawks and brewing your own beer.
Dominate these things and the rest of things will come naturally.

As in what field of work you should try to master? What are your skills?

Also go watch "Jiro Dreams of Sushi" on Netflix, if you haven't already. Pretty inspirational as far as finding what you're good at and mastering it

Haven't yet. I have skills, but my whole life has been moving from one thing to the next. Afraid I'll miss something. I guess I'm finding I'm better at certain things at different times in life.

In the future, there will be no career. But lots of mini careers.

nothing wrong with being a jack of all trades.

i have good cultural and social awareness, im articulate, and i have good logical and reasoning skills. thats all you need

im not great at anything. if you're great at math, be an engineer. if you have a great work ethic, be a doctor. find your niche

That's practically what it is now at the talent level.

You have to keep moving to move up. Or you settle for the one you're willing to stay with for good where you are.

I've always been really good at most things but "the best" at nothing.

I'm basically a RL version of Florida.

I am in graduate school for engineering right now. I've learned that being great in undergrad does not necessarily translate here. Going up against students who are on their second graduate degree or who have worked for a decade is not easy for me at all. Both parentals are surgeons, I decided long ago I didn't want that lifestyle. Not that its bad, just not for me per say, my siblings seem to enjoy it though and one of them also does illustrations for anatomy books. Hah, sibling rivalry was lost long ago.

I was an econ major for my first few years in undergrad but was not very focused and physics came more naturally. I occasionally keep up with the market, trade little bit, and reading Benjamin Graham right now. But again, other individuals just seems to catch on more quickly there. As far as music, I've learned 3 instruments but nothing noteworthy or special.

Every time I go in one direction, seems to be a dead end so I've been doing a little soul searching as of late. I wanted to get some perspective on the OT.

you sound like me lol. engineering and business background, i play 4 instruments, read lots of econ books (austrian economics - peter schiff, ludwig von mises, etc ftw).

work 2 jobs selling guns and bartending and graduating in december. i have no idea what i want to do

you need to finish up engineering grad work, work a few years, get into consulting, start your own business, then profit $$$$

I never thought of things I did to make money as work. I'm a jack of all trades. As I grew up, several became pretty lucrative. I get bored with those and look for other endeavors. Good luck finding happiness, which should come first, before money.*

*My family members are doctors as well. frick that depressing environment.

I never used my degree, but it's nice to have.

after 2 years of engineering, I decided I wanted to go to law school. my old man has a big firm in lafayette and it'd be a guaranteed job. was gonna use my engineering degree and go into intellectual property law, but ended up saying "frick it, if I'm going to law school, im not wasting my undergrad years in the library."

ended up wasting them at work instead . of course now i dont want to go to law school. Im an entrepreneurial type and have a couple of business ideas that id like to start up.

im a firm believer that if you're smart (which you obviously are), you'll be successful no matter the field. different paths take different lengths, but they all go to the same place
