I caught the ball, turned and started running free down the field with no defenders in sight. Then snap. Pulled hamstring. FML. But it's more than that. It's severe pain going from my knee to my lower back.

This is the second time I've had this injury in the last 6 months and the one I had in January was fricking bad way worse.

Someone mentioned it sounded like sicatica.

I fricked up my hip flexor in college (pretty sure it was torn considering I lost lateral movement but that was never proven. Could that have caused this?

Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks

It's probably cervical cancer.

I am a doctor.

Most likely aids. Possibly lupus, but probably aids.

Sciatica goes from the back to leg, not leg to back.

Are your hands and feet bleeding? If not, then no.

For a serious answer- I don't think so. I have struggled with sciatica and the pain usually goes from the lower back to your toes.

Regardless, I suggest hitting an urgent care and getting checked out. They can at least give you some anti inflammatory and pain killers to help out

It doesn't necessarily always have to go all the way down to the toes. It can vary based on how much pressure is on the nerve.

Mine radiates from the back to the foot, left side only, and ice on the back is my saving grace.

Is kinda always lurking, never really goes away

Hit up the Advil. Smile at work tomorrow, happy to everyone. Then slip in the break room.

Call for help getting up.

Profit.

that doesn't sound like this. Mainly it hurts just where I pulled the muscle. But if I take a bad step I can feel shooting nerve pain into my lower back that freezes me or shoots into the area right behind the knee.!

Sounds like it could be your sacroiliac joint. Does it hurt to put weight on that leg when standing?
