I'm 35, single, no kids, never been married...

My partying has only just begun!

I backed way down around my thirties...hangovers got bad enough so that it just wasn't worth it any more. I'll catch a buzz every once in a while, but I no longer just get trashed. funny thing is, I don't miss it at all.

No, you just get tired of doing it as often as you did before.

It's the Toby Keith phenomenon. Don't do it as often as you used to, but hit it hard as a mofo when you do.

I'm mid 30's with kids. I stopped your kind of "partying" at 24-25. However, I still party with better food, better drinks and a 11 pm bed time and no hang over. I'm not complaining.

Honestly the best nights I have are starting "early" at like 5 and drinking at a decent, consistent pace until around 10 and then in bed by 11.

5 and a half hours of solid drinking and a full night's sleep? frick yea.

Back in college there's no way in hell I was heading to the bar before 10 or 11. Now there's no way in hell I'm going to the bar if I haven't already left my house by 8.

28 was the point where hangovers stopped lasting hours and started lasting days. After that I toned it down.

Lots of factors come into play.

I don't work hard every minute, but I work a lot of hours on my job, which includes on-call hours where I have to interact with clients, even on weekends.

Also, the appeal has gone down as I've gotten a little older.

Partying gets old when you realize that you no longer need it to accomplish the things you used to want via partying.

Most people party to get laid, blow off steam with their buddies, and make friends. At some point, you've got a girl, you're friends have grown up so they don't need alcohol to have a good time, hangovers get worse as you age, you feel like you've got enough friends, and you need to be able to get up early in the morning for work.
