Looking for a haunted house in the general BR area for kids in the 10 year old age range.

Back in the day in the New Orleans area schools used to put on haunted houses all over town that would be good for this age group but these seem to have died off unless I'm just not aware of them.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Any street in BR with an Indian or President name is pretty terrifying.

That's all I got.

Or a state name.

I finally brought my 12 year old daughter to the 13th Gate. I was surprised how many 6-11 year old kids were there. I didn't go in because I wasn't wasting my $25. My daughter said it was not scary at all.

As an adult I wouldn't go to a haunted house much less take a kid to one. Too may freaks in the world. One freak in a haunted house with a knife could do a lot of damage. I don't like tight crowds either.

My daughter and I did 13th gate when she was in 2nd grade and have done it ever since together and now she is in high school.

We go early and bring a group and have a great time.

I wondered about the 13th gate for my 13 yo daughter. She gets pretty scared. But she is really into artistry, makeup, costumes, etc... I told her that from what I hear, the 13th gate is purely professional on all levels. And that she would totally appreciate the layout there.

It is very professional and a great production. She will enjoy it.
