Is the NOPD the worst police department in the country?

Anyone with experience in another major city please share if you think they are worse.
No fixing NOPD in my opinion. Maybe if you shut it down for years and then restarted with super high standards, pay, and a massive recruiting campaign .

Probably yes.
But at least they don't give a frick about white people doing anything besides pissing, puking, or fighting in public

I wouldn't say worst but they need probably double or triple as many cops to do their job properly. there's some dumb statistic like 5k people to 1 cop in the city.

If it's not dead last, it's close enough to walk over and borrow a cup of sugar or a lawnmower from it.

It's not so much their competence as the fact that there aren't nearly enough of them

Philly's is worse. They've stolen more money from their citizens than every city on Eastern Seaboard. 1/5 of civil forfeiture cases all happened in Philadelphia. That's fricking insane and criminal.

I'd rather the same amount with 3x as much competence than triple the amount with the current quality.

We need more of them

No doubt, waited 2 hours on a hit and run where the fricking "person" (not a person a fricking animal Nola piece of shite from the ninth wars) literally attacked me and my girlfriend after he T boned her car and then proceeded to peace out, NOPD didn't show I had to go to the station to report it.

I would add that if you actually got rid of the bottom feeders- especially the ones at OPP- then you could likely afford to raise quality and redistribute raises.

birmingham al is not a huge city but the bpd sucks. i steal, do drugs and assault almost daily and have never been caught.

Philly has a notoriously violent and corrupt police department. Chicago is awful too.

They only hire easily corruptible douchebags

The response times being 20 minutes you could rob 3 banks before the 1st unit shows up. Quality over quantity, but something needs to change.

Detroit, Philly, Chicago, Baltimore, Oakland have to be up there right?
