I was watching that horrible "Left Behind" with Nicolas Cage. I saw Spud and told my SO, look it's the guy who was MCing the bridal show in Kenner, you know this is low budget.

He latched onto John Goodman during Goodman's run of making movies in/around Louisiana - and leveraged that friendship into a decent supporting career.
He's not a bad comedian - I saw him way back in the late 80s/early 90s at the (I believe) Grin Room in BR.
I haven't caught much of his radio show - just a few snippets here and there.

I'm not sure if they are still airing, but it was kind of said that he got canned at WWL a few weeks after that ad campaign started.
