Is speeding one of the trashiest things a person can do on a daily basis?

People that speed on a daily basis are the worst. Do they realize that with lights and traffic accounted for that speeding doesn't even get you to your destination significantly faster?
The above chart shows how much time you save by speeding based on distance, speed limit and overage. This chart doesn't account for traffic, or stop lights which are the great equalizer.
I can understand speeding on long trips since you're potentially gaining significant time. But do these idiots speeding down 35 MPH roads realize how dumb and trashy they are?

not when I'm saving 24 minutes a day to and from my job. Do you know how many times I could have sex with my wife in that time frame if she would stop struggling?

I never speed on surface streets but on the I-10, seventy just feels right and eighty feels better.

Most people I've known that speed thru traffic, rev their engine, gun it to pass someone between red lights, and have radar detectors are very trashy.

I agree.
I wouldn't necessarily call it trashy, but I would call it nonsensical if you won't be driving for hours.
Although, I don't consider 10mph or less over a 45mph or higher limit to be speeding.

When I am exceeding the recommended speed limit, I tend to pay attention to my surroundings more...looking for the blue lights as well as making sure I know exactly where all of the other cars are around me so I can get in the fastest lane. So, despite the fact that you find my speeding grotesque...you want me to speed, you need me to speed. I suggest you just say 'thank you', buckle up and keep your arse in the right hand lane.
