All the live webcams look pretty clear.
Edit: But apparently they don't show the surface streets. Damn.

I saw some videos on Facebook of people in Lake Charles driving through some high water.
I'm sure that's not everywhere in LC but it didn't look like it was promising

The rain slacked off 3 or 4 hours ago. Hopefully it has time to drain before more comes

No. As of an hour ago it was clear. The break between bands was giving time for runoff.

No one ever travels on weekends.
I don't, nor have I ever lived in LC. I do know a few people that do though.

That area along Prien and west to Contraband Bayou is notoriously bad for flooding.

When they were planning & building Graywood I thought that whole area was at risk for heavy flooding. Any idea how that area is holding up?

Not sure I'm not in the area I just know from growing up there that area floods easy. My property and my family's property is south of town on a high ridge.

Oh, OK. I know a little bit about that area. Hope everything works out alright for you with this storm and any damage is minimal.

Clear now but saying it's supposed to pour late this evening and early morning. Downtown has dried out though.
