Is it possible to beat the terrorists?

How do you win against ISIS?
We can put cities on lockdown to prevent other attacks. We can send troops to their territories and we can bomb them. We can stop letting refugees into our countries, futhering the divide between muslims and non muslims. They want us to do all this. When Al Qaeda blew up the WTC, the ramifications were far more than the people we lost. Our country went through horrible fear, got into spiraling debt and became divided over war, and we have ridiculous security requirements at airports now. Yeah we killed bin Laden, but so much damage was done in the process.
Everyone can get a freedom boner by imagining the possibility of us getting together with Britain and France and bombing ISIS, but that's what they want us to do. No matter who you kill the ideology will still be there. And they don't care if they die..that's what they want.
People are scared to travel now. Hell, I'm not planning a trip to Paris or Belgium anytime soon, and you can bet people are cancelling or changing their vacation plans now. The world is living in fear because of these assholes, and they love it.
How do you win against an enemy who embraces death?
I guess you have to destroy them anyway to at least protect yourself

since it's not a "country", the only way to defeat is to cut off the money supply. that's it.

You have to kill them, every last one. They know no other lifestyle and actually welcome death. They think they'll be welcomed into heaven if killed while fighting the infidel (christians).

Counties, armies, and leaders can be defeated. It is rather difficult to defeat an ideology considering the followers of that ideology have numbers in the hundreds of millions. They blend in (kinda not really) and pose as citizens then go rambo and kill everything in sight. Daesh is full of cowards.

The grisly truth is total annihilation of their people, their homeland and their entire way of life, all the way down to the foundation, then break the foundation. That is the only way to stop an entire culture that has nothing to lose. Since the world will never advocate such a thing, they will never be stopped.

I'm not saying we should, but I'm honestly starting to think a nuke is the only way. Especially when understanding their beliefs/end game.

You can't fight a war against an ideology such as terror. It's like fighting a war on jealousy. Because terror doesn't have a "home base" and it is scattered throughout many belief systems and areas across the world, how are you expected to keep them all in check? It's like chasing your tail

Do we just accept that multiculturalism has never worked, is not working and will never work and take the casualties?
A backlash will result eventually. One side has already boiled over and is attacking the other side. The side being attacked with all the weapons and power will eventually tire of it won't they?
This comes to a very violent, grotesque and sad head at some point IMO.

Is it possible to beat 1.5 billion terrorists? Yes. You have to dwindle that 1.5 billion down to zero, a difficult task to be sure, but possible.
