Eh, as long as they're doing it while the groom is doing what he wants, I don't see the issue.

Hold up motherfricker. Groosmen have to take off work for your stupid arse wedding weekend. Attend a rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, Rent the stupid arse tux you picked out, and they have to be introduced to your count wife's family and be nice to/socialize/dance with her county friends for 48 hours.

You bet your boring arse that party is for the groomsmen.

This is how mine went. My friends went nutty and I laughed my arse off. We did Vegas and wow did they push the envelope. Lucky to get out of there alive.

Mooch?

How are groomsmen mooching when they're paying for everything and also doing what mikelbr said a few posts up?

Wow, so because I don't agree with certain aspects of this "rite of passage" I'm a pussy or I'm whipped? Since when did having open discourse on a topic become grounds for attacking someone's character? Some of you clearly lack maturity.

if you aren't doing what the groom wants to do you are mooching his party out from under him.

it shouldn't be taken over by people who want an excuse to go to Vegas or do something else they want to do.

the bachelor party is the only thing in the entire wedding process specifically geared towards the groom.

he should get final say on what his night is going to be like.

and frick what mike said. That's some selfish arse shite. If you don't want to do something nice for your friend DONT frickING GO. His wedding and his bachelor party aren't about you.

The way I see it, do damn near anything you want. But if you want to bang a holler at your bachelor party, don't get married..you'll be broke and divorced in a few years

I don't see the point of a ritual of running with bulls in Pamplona; it is just that -- a ritual, however. Rituals are what they are, but "pushing the envelope"? I am not sure how that is applicable.

My bachelor party was not intended -- nor is anyone else's I know -- to become a booze and drugs fest. It was more about gathering some friends from all corners of the world and celebrate as a bachelor one last time. It's like anything else that we celebrate. We don't necessarily need any of it. It's just part of life. It's just like posting on Facebook or lifting weights. It's spending time the way you want.

Mine was a steak dinner with my buddies and cigars on the patio afterward. One of the best times of my life. Keep it simple and do what you want.

ummm, no. The bachelor party is a party the groomsmen throw FOR the groom. It is them taking him out on one last outing as a single man. If you aren't designing your bachelor party around the groom, you're doing it wrong and frankly are being a shitty friend.

Is it necessary to push the envelope with Bachelor parties?I didn't start this thread to trigger anyone or be judgmental. I just don't see the logic in trying to cram the next however many years of debauchery you could be having into one night of escapism. It's like the nonsensical people who wait until retirement to start living their life.

Oh, I get it now. At first, I thought you were a total square that sucked and was whining bc you didn't get invited to a bachelor party. No, you're the guy that gets it in 365 days a year and sees nothing special about this particular one. I agree with you, hookers and blow errday.
