Is it legal for a company to offer to pay for some of their employees spouse and child's health insurance and not offer it to other employees? So that I'm clear, all employees are offered insurance through the company it's just that a few are also having their spouse and children premiums paid whereas other employees are having to pay out of pocket to cover their family.

I'll hang up and listen.

Are they an Officer of the company? If so, they play by a different set of rules than everyone else.

No. Do you think it's illegal for a company to pay one employee more than another?

My office does this where the attorneys get everybody covered, but not support staff.

I don't see why it would be illegal. Those are different perks, but that's it.

Some companies provide cars and country club memberships to some employees but not all.

This is illegal. Contact an attorney immediately.

If Obama had his way, it would be illegal.

Salaries
Vac. time
Car allowances

can all be different from one employee to the next

The Affordable Care Act does make it illegal to differentiate health insurance benefits among employees in some situations. It's very fact specific though and your question can't be answered by anyone here without more details.
