Is it ever ok to slap a little kid?

Real talk. If my kid is getting bullied by an older kid? If the bully's parents aren't around? I need to know these things ahead of time bc my wife is preg.

I slapped my 4 y/o when he threw a cup at his mom and then knocked his food off the table. I slapped him and then held my wife back. He hasn't done anything like that since.

I personally don't think it's ok to lay a hand on someone else's kid. Unless it's a family member or close friend that yall are cool with about that sort of thing.

I wouldn't put my hands on another persons kid regardless of the situation. He probably needs it though as his shitty parents haven't taught them how to act

From a LSU BLAW lecture/rant, my prof once said you can use force to defend your child from another child if they are being assualted. But you have to make sure you are in the act of defense and not simply responding later. You also cannot do anything more than eliminate the threat to your child.
Pushing/hitting the attacking child is OK only to get them off your child.
