Is Drano really bad for pipes?

Got a slow draining sink in the bathroom and a snake won't fit. Anything else I can pour down it to unclog it?

A little baking soda mixed with vinegar can help. Be careful as it can be pretty "fizzy". Shouldn't hurt your pipes, though.

Get a bucket and place it under your trap in the cabinet. Take the trap loose and see if it is clogged..try this first.

if u put drano down FLUSH it out with tons of water before putting any other drain cleaner in the drain. mixing different types of drain cleaner can cause a chemical reaction that can explode.

I use the shite out of Drano, I think plumbers tell you it's bad for pipes so you have to call them everytime a drain is stopped.

I hear this is good once it's clean and you have built up crap from over the years, but not so sure it will unclog what you need. I was told to do the baking soda/vinegar mix about every couple of weeks, then cut back to once a month. I'd Draino it in a heartbeat. Gel it's arse pipe.
