It's the Affliction of the working out world. Any gym enthusiast worth his salt will tell you slow reps with perfect form is key.

It's been a workout methodology for 40 years but didn't become more prevalent with the masses until the mid 2000s.

Military guys have been doing Crossfit style workouts for decades, too.

Not really, the overwhelming majority look like they haven't touched a weight in their entire life. The elite guys you see on the games are just animals and would look like that no matter how they lifted.

I knocked it until I tried it. Got in really good shape and felt much better than I did when I started. Did 3 months but wasn't going to keep paying $130 a month for it.
