That happens a lot for me. You look at the modem and the cable light is off.

Wifi only has to do with your router... it has power. Does your router have a web interface? Do you have a modem that shows up stream and down stream traffic? These will be lights either on/off/blinking. Do you have cable along with cox? Is it working?

Power symbol has green light
Lightning bolt pointing down is solid
Lightning bolt pointing up alternates with flashes and solid
Arrow going around a globe sometimes flashes

Cable works fine

If your cable is working, I'd try a modem reset. There's usually a small button, but it's just as easy to unplug it for about 15 seconds

Tried unplugging. No dice.

The lights are following a certain progression. Power light stays solid green. Down arrow flashes then turns solid. Up flashes and then solid. Arrow on globe just flashes rapidly and then it starts over.

Then there's no internet traffic. Sorry man. You can call it in, but there's a good chance something is down and they already know about it. If your cable is working, it's not local. Which is good because it likely affects a lot of people and you'll get it back sooner rather than later.

Cox internet is still working. DirecTv has lost HD though. (DVR still plays in HD so not a problem with the TV.) The guide isn't labeling the channels HD and the station labels say ESPN not ESPNHD.
