A guy in my neighborhood posted this on "Nextdoor".

quote:

Truck was broken into last night on Stanton Hall. If you saw anything suspicious, please let me know.

quote:

Just found my holster in my back yard. Gun still missing. Deputy says they are investigating 5 incidents from the same night in our area.

WTF? Who leaves a gun in their vehicle overnight?

I've been guilty of it. Not hard to forget about it.

It's not uncommon for folks to keep a gun in their vehicle.

I do to scare the government aka repo man from seizing my 40K truck for which I accidently missed a few payments.

I leave two.

Have a death wish? Cross the three miles of private property to get to it.

I always have at least one gun in my vehicle and they stay there overnight in with my truck in my driveway. How is that irresponsible?

I currently have my G19 in my hotel with me in Houston because I forgot it was in my truck and didn't want the Valet to dig around and find it or something.

I leave a pistol in both of my vehicles each and every day.

I've done it. Not really irresponsible unless he doesn't have another gun in the house to shoot the dumbass that steals his other loaded gun.

They're called criminals, and they appreciate the easy access to getting a gun.

I am with you. The gun should escort you inside your home and back to the auto. No need to leave it unattended over night.
