First things first. Stop trying to remove them one by one using your hands.

An invasive species is causing damage in Metro Detroit. Now, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources is working to solve the problem.
IMPORTANT: If you come across this crawfish, that is red in color, DNR is urging you not to eat it, keep it, or move it. They need your help to track this species. If you find one, please capture it, freeze it and call your local DNR office to report it.

Wouldn't the winter freeze the frick out of them and kill them?

Michigan winter should take care of them

No wonder Les miles never took the job there.

While the crawfish could have a major impact on the aquatic ecosystems up there, that whole "if you see one, capture it, freeze it, and report it" but just makes me laugh everytime I read it.

Right. Invasive species are no joke, but the way that reads you'd swear the place was crawling with cobras.

Why don't a few cajun baws go up there and catch them all?

"Oh no, we're being over run by a delicious crustacean. What ever will we do?!"

The friggin comments are gold...

Derryl W. Vickers Jr. Lol. They make a big deal over catching 200 in a day and down here we eat 200 in a sitting.
