Search for zipcode 22201 and see why it's great to live in Arlington VA.

I just hear on here that Baton Rouge is so high in crime. It looks to me that at least south B. R. is lower crime than anyplace in N. O.

Are you new to the area or something? New Orleans and BR are nothing alike geographically. New orleans as low income areas scattered all around the city, while BR has a majority of lower income areas in the northern area of the city.

That is true. No, I've lived in Baton Rouge since '81.

Gotcha, I could see how it would look though if you didn't take account for the way each city is laid out though. When zoomed out, each city looks like a nightmare since the icons are bigger than a 2-3 blocks in comparison to the map

Search Mandeville and Madisonville and see why it's so nice.

I do a lot of work in Madisonvile but can't ever really see why everyone says its so nice. I know they have low crime and great schools but what do people do for fun in Madisonville? I'm sure I'm just clueless since I've never been in Madisonville when not working but what's the popular area around there? The "downtown" area in Covington?

I'm also a 26 year old bachelor so take my opinions with a grain of salt

Not a single crime committed in Gardere area... must be BRPD info and not including Sheriff data

Gardere is pretty tame these days, not saying there isn't ever crime but I would feel perfectly safe walking GSRI at night. The sub station and new construction in the area has really put that whole neighborhood in check

My house was burglarized last summer

Homeowner in my same neighborhood just shot and killed a home invasion suspect this week

That substation closes at 5. It didn't do shite to curb crime I had to get the F out of there

ETA, there was another drug related execution there in 2014 in those apts across Burbank

When I was 26 I would not have thought it so great either. In my early 40's I can live in a quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors. There are several great restaurants around that are usually not found in an area this small. Plus, nola is a short drive.

Almost ALL the crime in Baton Rouge is in the Hood north of Florida Blvd. You find this surprising or interesting?
