Well then your FIL is an idiot too. He doesn't even realize how much of a significance the watch actually has to him. He obviously has no idea what this means and neither do you. You two should do like everyone else in the world should do and listen to every single word the OT says.
Well he came here for advice....

Just making fun of how sometimes things can get blown up when people have no idea what the full story is.
And I'm all for it. I love the drama filled, anonymous bashing of people on the internet. It's what makes the board interesting.

So, you and your FIL broke into someones house and stole a Rolex. You then come to the OT to find out how much its worth.
What other goods did you get?

8 pages and nobody called you poor yet. Although, you must be.

Yes, I got a DUI after a couple drinks out to dinner. Easily something that could happen to anyone. I paid for it and felt like I deserved it. I just had questions about the process. Yes, I went to a tech school (after having a child at 19....I know , what a loser) and made it as high as Fixed Ops Director at a car dealership but wanted more for myself. What a shame. Yes, I had an issue with the computer I couldn't figure out and asked for assistance. What a piece of shite I am. Just a dumbass. frick off. You don't me. I do all I can for my son, my wife , and all others in my family. I'm proud of what I've accomplished with the mistakes I've made and if you think some douche that lives on a message board will change that , you're sadly mistaken. I do appreciate your input though. Very helpful.

have it appraised. My dad gave me the watch that my mom gave him a year after they married back in 04. I lost her in 08. got the watch appraised and it is about $5k, but i wouldn't sell that watch for $1M. It is priceless in my eyes.

See this was addressed already.
Well OP if everything you're saying is true, by all means sell it and do something nice for your family. And yes we go overboard in being acerbic on here (hello, it's the internet) but you should have expected a negative reaction based upon what you originally told us.
As I said, don't see any reason why you wouldn't sell it if you're being candid now.

Yeah, we're poor. Actually , not that this thread has anything to do with who I am , we own a business (3 funeral home locations ) with a partner (40% owned) and the watch was a "look at me" statement by the previous owner given to the FIL. He hated the guy, and the SO , who worked for said company for 7yrs prior to buying in, hates the guy also. He is no longer in the picture and , as with anything else with ties to the piece of shite is getting sold or pushed out. You idiots on this message board need to realize that not everyone with a question feels the need to give a life story. I was just looking for advice as I have seen numerous watch threads on this board in the past. I'm sorry your lives are so boring that you have to attempt to put others down. Your lives must suck.

I'm calling all the funeral homes in Nashville to let them know that your FIL is stealing watches from dead people. I hope they catch him.

You do that. Moron. You have no idea what you're even talking about. Atleast you're part of the majority. Good for you!
