Wife's 2011 Explorer is great and has about 70k on it. Problem is, with 2 carseats in there it super cramped. So we're kinda looking around and she loves the suburban mom tank qx56/80 and the new armada. Look identical.

Thoughts on the vehicles in general? Also, seeing some much better deals on used ones. What's the highest mileage you'd be comfortable buying used? Some good deals around 60k and even better around 80.

Not ot baller sorry.

Wife has 56, after driving her expedition this thing rides very well and is very comfy. Gas mileage is horrid though

QX80 now.

And, yes, they have changed up the Armada to look more like it (it lagged the upgrade of the Infiniti body style). You can probably save 20k on the fully loaded version.

have owned both with no real issues. The new Armada is same vehicle as Infiniti- Infiniti is more plus, a few more whistles and bells and longer warranty- but hard to justify the difference in price

Infiniti service is second to known

I can recommend both

Leaning towards new armada since they around around the same price as used Infinity.

Any issues with a 13 Infinity with 59k miles?

Had the 11 QX65 when it first hit the ground. not the best looker but interior was way ahead of it's time. we kept it 3 years and 40k with no problems.

Wife has had a 2010 Armada Platinum for 125K miles now, got it as a demo with <10K miles. Mechanically, perfect, some of the interior stuff is breaking, plastic cracking, but I have been able to buy the parts or fix it myself.

"(h)orrid" doesn't begin to describe it. Abysmal according to the two folks I know who have QX80s.

The Armadas & QX80s are all now built in Japan, which is a plus because the Canton, MS Nissan plant had issues trying to produce the Infiniti QX56. Nissan yanked production back to Japan due to what were reportedly workmanship issues blamed on the Canton Plant.

I'd go Lexus LX or Toyota Sequoia or Land Cruiser before Nissan/Infiniti but that's probably because I've had three Lexus vehicles which all gave wonderful service.

You would buy a car with 60 to 80k miles?? Why don't you just get an expedition with few miles on it. It will probably last you longer.

The 2010 and earlier QX(the square one) was built in Canton. The vehicle we know now as the QX56/80 2011+ has always been built on the Patrol chassis which was never built in America. The new Armada finally shares that chassis. We were interested in going back to a QX since our 2011 was better than our 2014 Q7 has been but they keep pushing the next QX back (last I heard was 2020). Q7 lease is up in April and as much as I like the LC/LX I don't like the 3rd row. I know its because the LC is a real off road vehicle but we will never use it like that. We will probably go with a GLS or a Denali.

The new Armada looks nice.

I'd probably get either that or a Suburban Z71.

no offense, but how many years ago?

tahoe's typically don't hold up well. Hopefully you will keep loving yours, but odds and all....

should have gotten the qx80. MPA is surprisingly bad but the acceleration is quite surprising in its own right.
