Indochino Suits
Anyone tried this "custom" suit service? They have some great sales going in right now. Can get an $800 suit for $350 or something. Worried about quality though.

Read a review about them from the Fine Young Gentleman which said they have gotten better, but still have minor issues. Again, though, he's reviewing them based on single or limited wears, not weekly office wear.

Black Lapel is a similar service that has better reviews. I have 2 suits from them and they are overall very good. Easy to work with. Would recommend.

I have never done Indochino. I do Oliverwicks.com and have been very pleased. They are a small step up in price from Indochino, but also a step up in quality.

re: Indochino Suits
I did a $400 suit from Indochino a year ago. The fabric quality was just OK, and I needed the full $75 tailoring credit to get it to fit just right.

For $400, I feel like I could get something better.

I have a few from combatant gentlemen which is even cheaper than the other options mentioned in this thread, and comparable quality. Same good customer service, easy to work with.

I would probably stick with Suitsupply in that price range. Typically, I think folks are better off sticking to cheap RTW than opting for cheap MTM.

re: Indochino Suits
My only problem with a lot of these services is that they don't fit the pants. They just have modern cut pants. Suitsupply is guilty of this. They fit the jacket and then crowd your balls with their pants.

That's why I finally went to Knot Standard in person and had them make me a full custom suit. I would do them again, but don't feel like spending the money right now. They are well worth the money though

My experience with Indochino exactly. I had to come out of pocket a bit though since my tailor bill was around $100.

With respect to Knot Standard - I have difficulty trusting a company with those product shots. Waistcoat too short (shirt is showing...) and shoulders are all sorts of fricked.

But you do have to be pretty slim to fit into susu. For bigger guys, I would also recommend Samuelsohn MTO/MTM. Higher price range, but their suits are well made for the price.
