Going to do some mattress shopping this weekend. I'm seeking recommendations.. What do you own? Pros / cons? How old is yours? Has it held up or lost is shape/ firmness?

Thanks

Wholesale Mattress and Factory on Florida.

It looks like a total dump but they make great mattresses at a fraction of the price of the big chains. Plus, if it's too hard or soft, they'll adjust it for you for free.

Tuft and needle for firm or Casper for medium

No more inner spring for me. They don't last anymore since you can't flip then. Something about thr fire barrier they put on the bottom after those old people in the nursing home died in a fire.

I spent an assload on the last sealy firm shite and it lasted 3 years.

fricking 3. I replaced my 13 year old sealy that was awesome with the same exact model. Lasted three fricking years

For a third the price I can buy a Casper or tuft and needle and just swap out sooner if I need

Got a Tempurpedic three years ago. It's awesome and still feels brand new. Only cost like $3000 too.

If you like a hard mattress, the Tempurpedic will not hold up over time. The foam is not built to last for support and your back will hurt after it's worn off after about three years. I am on my third replacement already because of this.

What about a mattress that can take a pounding, if you know what I mean.

We just bought a Serta iComfort Blue Max 1000 Firm. Also got the sweet adjustable base. We've had it for 2 months now and we love it. We also picked up a cooling mattress pad and a couple of cooling pillows. It gets frickin hot here in Vegas, and I hate to sweat when I sleep.

I don't know where you live, but I bet there are at least 25 Mattress Firms near you.

my current mattress is foam and it lost its 'bounce' rather quickly. I was thinking maybe it was bc it was cheap but now I'm thinking it's just a characteristic of the material if tempurpedic does the same. I'll stay away

In nola... I'm solociting recommendations here so I don't get sold the mattress that earns the salesman the best commission.

I'm not anti-sales guy, it's just sometimes their interests and the consumers are aligned

You should really check out Essentia mattresses. Its labeled as the "worlds healthiest mattress." They are super comfortable and are warrantied for 10 or 20 years depending on the mattress you purchase. It is made from all natural materials, unlike SleepNumber and many other beds. I know for sure the SleepNumber contains the same type of rubber that is used in the making of car tires. I'm not sure about you, but I don't want to be sleeping on that shite. These Essentia mattresses ore fricking awesome.
