What? So if I supported David Duke knowing full well what he believes then that says nothing about me as a person?

Why you support means much more than who.

David hates black people but he has an awesome school voucher program so I have to vote him?
All this shines a light on the retarded "drain the swamp" theory. I hate the system so I'm going to burn the capital to the ground.
That thought process says a lot about you as a person, imo. Cut the nose to spite the face.

Have to? WTF are you babbling about?

Disagree, why you support a candidate is important only as far as where you voted for whom and why. So your reasoning on what you're voting for each individual person has more bearing on who you voted for and what you did indeed for them and why. See?

It's a shame you don't even see the consequences of your own logic

Your supposition was totally incorrect and misrepresented what was said. It's impossible to answer something that makes no sense.
Vote =/= support. People vote for various reasons. One, no matter how bad your candidate is, the other person may be worse. Others, an issue may be personal and they are, willing to overlook a myriad of other problems, hold nose and pull the lever.
I voted for Edward's over Duke in the early 90s, but there was not really a moral high road in that election and I supported neither.

Roger, go to the political board. You will find an echo chamber there.

There we go. Attempt to push aside dissenting opinion. A cult. Congrats for making my point

Yes, Obama embracing Black Liberation Theology told me all I needed to know. Did you vote for him?

Pitying someone isn't being offended. The guys got horribly offended when I said next year I was dressing as Vader with a trump mask and I was going to force grab every pussy in sight.

What I really laugh about is the religious zealots that will point fingers at who will be going to hell, but offers no real attempt to support those in "need".

People become obsessed with politics, like anything else. Just like people get caught up in religion to the part it allows it to affect every aspect of their life.. Every decision they make revolves around their political, religious, etc views and they are so caught up in it, they think that because they keep up with every aspect of it that they see things more "logical" than others.
But the problem with politics and religion is that there is no "one correct way". You have to be able to understand that in reality, people will see things from all different points of view. There are various reasons people believe whatever it is they believe or support (some people just believe whatever they hear, some people.. they support whatever is in their best interest, some people have been taught one way and thats all they know, etc) so I think these people are funny.. Not in a "I want to hang out with them because they make me laugh" way, but in a "you stupid fricks. You really believe you are smarter than most people because you keep up with issues more than the average person, etc, but in reality you are looking at everything under one microscope so you really don't understand anything beyond how you view things so I laugh at how much of an idiot you are".
With that said, I still can't believe Donald fricking Trump is our president. How can someone like him understand the average American when he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth? Then, he uses marketing 101 tactics and people fall for it. And after seeing parts of his press conference last week, it would not surprise me if he doesn't last 4 years. People didn't vote for John McCain because people were saying "he is too old", but Trump is the same age McCain was when he ran. But then again McCain wasn't running against Hillary Clinton.
