In a heated debate - What do you call these?

I call them carabiners, and some of my buddies are calling them clips or metal clips. (apparently I'm surrounded by idiots)

But most people in Louisiana will have no interest/use/knowledge of such kind of equipment just because of geography.

That is an oval, straight-gate, nonlocking carabiner.

Carabiners, but don't use the one in the pic for climbing.

Never would've called that a carabiner. It's a hook/clip/something that goes with backpacks or camping

100% Carabiners

I didn't know the name up until a couple months ago when I had to order a bulk of them for a project. I searched bungee clips, hooks, etc. before finally finding the right word for them.

100% correct because that's exactly what it is. I use them for outdoors stuff quite a bit.

I always called them bungee hooks or key hooks.

They're fine for some applications. You can even use two of them with the gates reversed in place of one locking 'biner.
