P-51D is really the only answer.


Although, I do think it'd be cool to fly a P-38 Lightning since there are so few of those left.

Here's a link to cool article on how we (the U.S.) figured out how to exploit the weaknesses of the Zero early in the war.

From a flying standpoint, the Zero would be probably more reliable, I've owned Mitsubishis and a Triumph and if the Triumph would have been a plane, I'd have never flown it.
