I dunno. Ask radical Muslims. They seem to think dying is pretty cool.

I feel your loss. I would wish for my dad back. I would have given anything for him to beat cancer, but it didn't work out that way. Sorry to put a somber mood on an otherwise promising thread idea

Following racing, I think of this often. Dale, Mark, Ronnie, Dan, Bruce....

None of those guys would ever get out of car anyway, though.

I would tell my Dad to wait on that heart surgery, but that might be bad b/c he would see my Mom get early onset, so maybe it was for the best.

You can't change things and you aren't supposed to...

Dr.MLK. I know he would really be disappointed in his people, but I think he would help. He fought for equal rights for all. Now his people are fighting for not so equal rights. Need a man like this on earth and we don't have one.

This x1000.

If he were still alive, there would be no Jessie Jackson. No Al Sharpton.

My uncle who died at the age of 15. I was really close to him, spent a lot of time in summer on their ranch with him. He was an exceptional athlete, 100 yard sprinter, football, baseball and basketball letter as a freshman in HS. Drowned.

same, but for slightly different reasons. the civil rights movement would've been better off without a martyr, especially one of mediocre character.

My son. Jackson and Johnston maybe two and three, swap them to The Reaper for Braxton Bragg and John Pemberton.

One of my law school roommates - he and his three little children were killed by a drunk truck driver in Houston.

I still remember those three little coffins. His wife watched them all die, as she was unhurt in the accident. He kept telling the firemen "save my children" but they couldn't do it, and he watched them go before he went. It was horrible in every respect.
