No, Broke is a credentialed financial pro who owns his own company and has been a finance professor for the last 20 years. But feel free to post your CV hillbilly. I approach this with a lot of knowledge about the monetary and regulatory aspects. And I'm pretty sure Russian, who has warned people with me, is a chartered financial analyst.

I was equally stubborn on the Stanford Group debacle.

i try to explain it to my friends like casino chips. i can't go buy something at a store with a poker chip, but if i have a $500 chip, would i sell it to someone for anything less than $500? no. can the casino who owns the chip go bankrupt? sure.

You can walk up to the cashier and hand them your poker chips and they'll hand you $500. The only thing you're getting with your bitcoin is $72.9 million worth of drugs or child porn.

If you say so Chief. But don't discount what I tell people just because you want to believe in Bitcoin so bad. I'm not approaching this subject as a fool. I don't know a ton about the blockchain side other than it has future implications that can be very promising. I've stated that in this thread willingly. But what I do know about is the monetary and regulatory side of it.

Feel free to puff your feathers out and strut around proclaiming to know how this stuff works and that you're right because it's $2200. I hope ya'll make a shitpot of money but don't hold it until the end because you think it's the Messiah. It's not.

I know no such thing. I'm simply following suit and finding some way to attack you.

You know Rummy is my brother, right?

How old are you? Serious question? Do you have a background in finance or economics?

None of these guys even know what they are getting into. At least Wiki stood toe to toe with you and Russian and argued the currency aspect of it. These guys are nothing but "scoreboard" guys who have no clue what they are "investing" in.

its fruitless to debate the merits of the coin (cyrpto) when evidence being presented to the opponent is continually ignored.

as far as discussing what ETH is - im assuming you know how to google?

here is a FAQ just in case LINK

I actually respected Wiki for that. He could debate the merits of the technology. He would shoot you straight (somewhat) when he recommended that people not buy Bitcoin. It sure beat the "HEY YOU'RE JUST AN OLD frick" that I'm seeing today.

Of course he was wrong when he said it would be at $10,000 in 5 years and that it would topple governments and crush banking as we know it. Or I'll say he's been wrong on that "so far"

What year was this said?
Jury still seems out on the $10,000 mark in a foreseeable future.
