Someone told me once that you can't get a 4Runner with KDSS in the Gulf States Toyota territory.

This is correct. I tried to order one from several BR dealers and was told they could not get one. Also tried to get a TRD pro but they couldnt get that either. So I got a trail premium in MS.

North LA had a quicksand color TRD Pro, but I was not going to buy that color. It was priced at 45k

That color is terrible. I just bought a black limited with tan interior.

Get the 4Runner. My wife has a 2013 SR5 (w/ leather). It has 125k miles on it with no problems and the resale is rediculous.

I just pulled the trigger on a used '15 Limited. I found that there was almost no price difference among '13, '14 or '15, and from about 30k to 50k the mileage didn't matter either. Mine had 40k on it, and my backup choice was a '14 with 52k miles on it that was actually $600 more by the time I purchased.

Unless you get a good deal on a '13, it seemed to me that since they were all the same basic price, may as well get the newest one and buy a 2015.

I have a '13 4Runner.

Drives great, like a truck. Okay gas-mileage. No mechanical problems. The interior is spacious and the back seats fold down, which I make use of alot. Overall been a great purchase and hoping it lasts me to 200k miles.

My '07 Tacoma has 180k and hasn't been a great vehicle. Has needed significant repairs. But, I'm confident I can get it to over 300k considering how much money I've dumped in it.

Funny cause my '06 Sport 4x4, the window controls are way at the bottom of the door, it's like they overcompensated. I have over 210K flawless miles on mine and lots of those are towing a 5K lb boat. Cannot recommend highly enough...

Just got an Overland 4x4. Love it. You can get Limited 4x4 for about 40k

You'll get all kinds of downvotes but this is the correct answer. I didn't even seriously consider the JGC initially but as soon as I got behind the wheel there was no going back.

I can't speak to the quality but I have always thought they are one of the best-looking SUVs on the road.

Jeep makes good looking but poorly constructed vehicles, just like all Dodge products.

It IS a truck. That's its whole appeal. Last of the real SUVs, other than the Tahoe/Yukon, Expedition, Sequoia, Armada, and Land Cruiser.

Thank you. I have to explain this to people all the time. I'm sorry they think their POS "crossover" is an SUV when it's not. It's nothing more than a lifted Camry.

I think $35k. They really don't take much off as they sell them quick.

Soft-Tex or whatever is fine. No problems with it since I've had it. And it doesn't get nearly as hot as real leather.
