I-10 East is closed before LA 415 (Lobdell) due to an accident. Congestion has reached two miles in length.

Isn't that the third wreck at this same spot in about a month?

1-10 between Houston and Baton Rouge is becoming the worst place in America. I never make that drive where there isn't a massive pile up at least once.

Sucks for everyone involved.

I can't wait for westbound to shut down from the rubber necks. I have no doubt that at 9 tonight when I'm headed home it's still gonna be congested.

Of course it's another accident involving an 18 wheeler.

It's a level, straight section of road but it is the start of the backup into Baton Rouge most weekday afternoons one around this time. There were serious accidents there two days in a row not long ago.

That is where traffic typically backs up to during normal rush hour. People traveling too fast and not paying attention hit the backup.

Wow.... let's hope everyone is ok......

But yes I-10 in and around BR is horrible......

The biggest problem is people NOT paying attention.... you do ONE thing while driving.....

DRIVE... screw these slackers that think they can talk on phone and text while driving...

Just got off Evangeline Thwy heading now east hwy 90. They had I-10 E closed at that exit and have everyone diverting on 90. What a mess.

I drove Lafayette to BR yesterday. Almost all the cars and trucks speeding over the Atchafalaya/Henderson swamp area to the bridge were from out of state. Locals seem to have gotten the memo to be cautious in this area.
