I need a Cajun French pronunciation of a word

I know that "boug" means boy....but does anyone here know the phonetically correct way to say it?

There's no vowel in the OPs spelling.

If there was, you're right. There isn't, so it is indeed boog as in booger.

I'm down in Delcambre and quizzed a few pure Cajuns.
They all say Boog as in booger

Wife kept calling him bubba.....I told her that's not gonna happen. Cute right now, but in 10 years I don't want to get the call saying "Bubba got a detention today for farting in social studies."
