I mean, how hard was it to tell that Draftkings and Fanduel were a scam?

"It's like the best adrenaline rush ever!"(FanDuel ad)...Said the guy who's never been laid
I wish nothing but the worst for these groups...DIAF, from corporate to lemmings

I don't think knowing the information guarantees that they win the money....but it sure does give them a much larger advantage than the rest of the field, so basically the pot gets dropped down several notches for the non-insider folks.

I've made 10 grand with my group of friends since football season started on FanDuel, by all means, feel bad for us saps.
6 grand came on a single $5 bet. Rough. (thank you Mayfield and Fournette that week)
Even rougher is depositing with PayPal, and then cashing out with PayPal and having it in your account within 24 hours. If their biggest "scam" is a couple of mid level employees trading stat sheets, they'll continue to be the dominant force they are in legal sports betting (except in LA, poor saps).

Nice I play it too but haven't had that much success just barely doubled up since season started

Yeah, it can be tough early, you really need to build your account if you start low like with any gambling site.
As for lineups just stick with 2 or 3 safe picks like Rodgers at QB, Jones at WR, Charles at RB.
It's all about hitting that $5000-6000 RB/WR, pick your budget players right with your safe picks and you're guaranteed money every week.

So how does Fournette a college player help you in a pro football fantasy thing

I'm trying to figure out how the Feds haven't step in to shut them down.

DOJ is probably building a case as we speak

People should read that article.
Let me summarize...
Blah, blah, government regulation needed, blah, Congressional investigation, big money, missed tax revenue, blah, blah, government regulation, need regulation, blah, blah.
Typical Lib BS (courtesy of the NYT no less) that can't stand some people having fun. You know what? If people trust the businesses, they will spend money. If it is a scam, they won't. Who thinks that the architects of Healthcare.gov getting involved in this is a good idea?

Well, they do offer college football.
And it is hardly a scam. There will always be insiders. I deposited $200 and am up to about $500. Lost a little this weekend because I got cute with my picks.
ETA: though knowing percentage of ownership goes a little beyond insider knowledge, it can still be accurately predicted (fairly) with enough data.
They will have more control over the data going forward.
Same thing happened wI think poker sites in the early days except employees could actually see hole cards.

I've only won about $150. But my co-workers friend won $1 million.

I am buying my second vacation home because of FanDuel. Lol. If it's a scam, call me a sucker.

So I have no experience, can you explain how each site works, how you choose your players and are you limited and how you win money?

I do like this part:
quote:
e statements were released after an employee at DraftKings, one of the two major companies, admitted last week to inadvertently releasing data before the start of the third week of N.F.L. games. The employee, a midlevel content manager, won $350,000 at a rival site, FanDuel, that same week.
“It is absolutely akin to insider trading,”
