3-4 times more players were sitting today as a result of the President's remarks. You can't fire half the team for sitting or kneeling during the national anthem, an outdated pregame ritual in sporting events. This is a huge victory for the first ammendment. It's good to see goodell, the players, coaches, announcers, and officials all united to demonstrate and defend the freedom of speech.

I'm even happier not watching the NFL at all.

Yea I love faux outrage too. All started over black people who attack police officers and end up getting shot

I'll say it to save everyone the trouble.

You are an absolute fricking idiot if you think any of this is over freedom of speech.

I'm not watching. NFL is having problems with ratings this year and its hard not to think its related to social activism from players. People just want to watch football and could care less about the SJW millionaires. Sure its their right...I just say its not professional and there's a proper time and place for that off the field.

WTF is wrong with you

Paying respects to the men & women who sacrificed for us to be able to play and enjoy these activities in peace is outdated?

When you are trolling, make sure your statements don't have any ideological flaws. It will provide a better outcome. Good luck!

Are you still mad that Bernie didn't get elected so productive citizens would have to pay your bills?

The first amendment applies to government action, not to the NFL or its owners.

Meh. I don't care what they do. A football player's political opinion means nothing to me.

The last time I was outraged by the NFL was when Dallas paid Dion Sanders a bunch of cash to play pussy football.

Watched the Green Day Saints game and the 2010 Super bowl since then. NO desire to watch football beyond Saturday since.

Couldn't care less what they do.
