And I hate those horrible bumps you made me plow through to get to the bottom of your a-hole last night...but I don't go on TD and whine about it!

I thought this was going to be about AutoYes

I didn't know it until I was 12, then again it was impossible to know it before then.
I would imagine most 10 year olds have heard songs that their parents listened to.

I like it.
Why do you gotta front?

A big family singing this song is bad because the original was delivered in kind of a facetious way. "I look like Buddy Holy; you're Mary Tyler Moore..."; it's meant to be taken as kind of playfully ironic in it's wholesomeness. Then you get a wholesome family singing it even more flatly than the original and all the winking aspect is snuffed out. Only somebody who missed the humor of the original could genuinely like this version. I know I have to hit the mute button every time.
At least it's not politically incorrect. That would be the ultimate violation, wouldn't it?

I absolutely loathe that commercial.
Every time I see it, I think, "This is exactly how every single black and Mexican comic gets their white people stereotype for their routines".

How does a 10 year old know a Weezer song??

I think what the poster was more so referring to is where are 10 year olds listening to weezer. Yeah obviously you know a bunch of beatles music, but you probably weren't diving into their catalog in 3rd grade.

In 3rd grade I was listening to pop on the radio, my older siblings' Sublime and 2Pac and Alice in Chains cds, and my parents' Beatles and Creedence and Three Dog Night tapes.

What am I missing here? I always thought the song was about a reject kid that is hooking up with a hotter slut.

You're missing the stereotypical white family in their minivan singing a song about a nerd.
