Why are you acting like noticing a trend of pubically advertised actions indicating distance (posting pictures with hubby all the time, then choosing to spend it with friends rather than him) is some kind of superpower?

You know what's even worse than the age old MYTH that it's always the man's fault? Is the "Captain Save-a-Hoe" mentality that has plagued so many men forever.

We all know the types. These men don't deserve a single ounce of respect. Spineless Cucks.

In my very long stint in the military, I can say the following:

1/3 of all men cheat all the time...the other 2/3s don't do shite.
But

Almost all (95%) women cheat if they have to go more than 4 months...
1/2 at three months
1/4 at a month

Women can only take so much attention before they crack.

If you (whether man or woman) aren't happy in your marriage why stay? You only get 1 life. There are plenty of folks who get divorced and still raise perfectly happy children. Also it's Facebook for eff sake! what are they gonna post "omg I'm so effing sad I'm old and have to start over fml" then the thread would be "God I'm so over these dear diary fb posts..." let them live their life.

1. Preferably, one views marriage as a sacrament and inviable, barring abuse or neglect. Such things are not meant to be taken lightly.

It must also be noted that women initiate a vast, vast majority of divorces, and as we all know, the courts rule very favorably to them, regardless of the alleged troubles. Is a woman's whim or dissatisfaction just cause for the looting of a man's livelihood and assets?

2. While it is true that it is possible for children from a divorced home to become happy, healthy adults, they still do not have as much of a statistical chance at greater wealth or education as children who grow up in a stable household. There are always exceptions, but we can not pretend that exceptions are the rule.

When 50% of marriages fail, I think you have to look at marriage as a contrived institution conditioned into us by religion and society to keep us in a conformist, consumerist mindset. It has not been natural over the course of human history for one man and one woman to spend their entire life with each other. It's unnatural and therefore doomed to failure from the start.

Cool thank you for the information. However other people live their lives is not for you to decide based on how you view the situation. Maybe they don't feel the same. Unless a child is put in actual harms way or neglected then really it's just another adult making choices for their life. How you feel about their situation is really irrelevant.

I used to have a theory about married women who got boob jobs. I stopped counting after a while but the rate was 90%+ who were divorced, or at least filed, within 1yr of the procedure. They start receiving all of this new attention, start feeling like their market value has increased and that they could do better, and they decide to move on in fairly short order.

I'm a cynical bastard, but this is nonsense. (Eta: I think many people have distorted marriage into this, but the institution itself is certainly not such a contrivance.)
