Or so he says. I didn't see much of the incident except a flash on my right when I attempted to turn into the parking space and then a guy trying to maintain his balance on his bike in front of me... which he did.

Seems it's legal here in Virginia for a cyclist to pass a car on the right... even within the same lane... and even between a moving car and a line of cars parallel- parked on a crowded city street.

"You almost killed me!"

"I didn't see you. You don't do things like that."

"I'm a cyclist! I'm allowed to!"

I'm kinda shaken up myself because, yes, I could have killed him.

The sense of entitlement of cyclists is the worst.

They're inconsiderate pricks, almost as inconsiderate as people with lazy eyes or those bullshite stutterers

Pretty sure it's legal for them to do all kinds of dumb shite. That's why they're so fricking irresponsible and entitled.

That's a pretty bold statement. I think feminists are worse than crossfitters for sure. But cyclists? I don't buy it.

I've started riding in the last year or so and have always followed the rules of the road when there's a vehicle in the vicinity.

I've never yelled at any drivers but I've had plenty of drivers lay on their horn at me. For no reason.

This board hates cyclists almost as much as cops.

I think he must have been going a lot faster on his bike than I was driving. The speed limit there on Cary Street is 25 and I don't think I was going that fast because I was looking for a parking place. I spotted one and made a quick turn into it... turn signal and turn kind in rapid succession. Technically, considering the law, I should have given him more warning... even when I never saw him. But the law also states that he's allowed to pass if it's safe. How was that safe?

This is their philosophy in a nutshell....they don't follow any rules of the road, even rules designed to keep them safe. They pay no fuel taxes or registration fees, but demand the right to exercise in vehicular lanes.

They ride like they're in a tank.

If some douche in tight shorts wants to battle, my truck vs his bike, I like my chances every time.

People who drive cars have way more sense of entitlement. In this specific case, sounds like the cyclist was a dumbass though.

My commute to work is on a mountain road that's about a lane and a quarter wide. Those Lance wannabe morons will come three wide around a blind curve and then give me dirty looks when I've gotta lock up the brakes to keep from killing them.

Rex...you should have taken him out!!
