I saw a backup on I59 N in MS coming back from Meridian on Thursday that was backed up for at LEAST 15 miles... COMPLETE standstill.. both lanes blocked by an accident and emergency vehicles.

I left Baton rouge 2 hours and 18 minutes ago, and I'm still not even technically IN Slidell yet... So I would say just don't go wherever you are going

Nah, that's too simple. Leave it to the state of Louisiana to do construction on this stretch for weekends during the summer beach season. At least some contractor somewhere can buy another King Ranch for his hunting camp

This picture was taken at approximately 730pm last night on my way home from work. This was between the Hwy 11 exit and the Mall exit. Traffic was backed up well beyond the Mall exit.
