Unless she's been coaxed to do it by some way older guy, I wouldn't get the po po involved for this very reason. They've actually charged underagers for taking and texting pictures of themselves.
A friend of Mine, elementary school teacher, was fired for recieving a text with a nude picture of a HS Student. He recieved the text from a Male Student; the boy's mother is divorced, no father in the picture, he's known the mother for years, had been helping the boy, the boy had been in lots of trouble for weed, MIP, and etc. had been sent to various youth homes-court ordered, etc.. you get the picture- the boy is trouble.
Teacher gave the student a phone to use, the male student talked a girl into sending him a naked photo, boy forwards to teacher, teacher deletes immediately-his phone at the time didn't get picture mail.
Girls parents find out about the pictures floating around. Found out who she sent the picture-the boy.. she was 15-16 boy 17-18 at time, parents get police involved, find out teacher owns the phone the boy was using and report him. Well teacher suspended for 9 months before finally getting terminated, even though all the text prove he didn't ask to be sent the picture nor did he respond to the text with the nude nor did he download the actual photo. Sucks for Him, he's a really good man and teacher. Will probably never be able to teach again, all becuase this dip shite thought it would be cool to send him the nude picture the dumb girl took for him and sent.
I have had many talks with my two sons(19&15) on the dangers of the subject of texting photos of this nature. My oldest son had turned 18 during his senior year of HS. So I had to beat it in his head that he could go to jail for going out/sleeping with any of the 10th/1lth grade girls who were 15/16.
Pretty soon I will have to have this talk with my 11 soon to be 12 year old daughter.
