I'm not qualified for starting official Hurricane threads.

How do we have a named storm trekking west and no "official" thread? Slow day.

That's headed to NYC, as far as I'm concerned. Let the Yankees sweat this one out.

I'll check back in a week and see if this is worrisome.

Even our hurricane hyper-sensitive local west palm beach weather people are laughing at what a little bitch "hurricane fred" is.

because it's not even forecast to survive halfway across the atlantic much less be a concern for anyone

Freddie is not worth tracking. Weaknesses in the subtropical Atlantic ridge will keep Fred out to sea.

Wind shear will likely weaken Fred tomorrow through Thursday.

Nothing to see here.
