The size of the human brain is limited by the size of the skull, which is limited by the size of the human birth canal / pelvis. This won't be changing.

We can only go so far without advanced AI, which we might eventually not be able to control.

Pretty sure size of our brain is not a limiting factor. We only use a small percent of it right now.

Or, develop the ability to fully use the brain we have. Problem solved.

Not to worry about birth canal size-

A recent study from Austria is linking evolutionary changes due to more Caesarean deliveries with regard to head size of human infants.

More likely is that AI/Robotics will lead to the downfall of capitalism in favor of a new economic system where humans are "employed" by other means than helping private organizations earn profit.

Advanced automation has already impacted rust belt states by requiring fewer employees in factories. Imagine what it will be like in a century when robots are able to perform manual labor tasks in construction, plant operations, and logistical services.

My wife and her family all have huge melon heads. They're idiots

I have a peanut head. Can never find hats or sunglasses that fit me. I'm basically a genius.

Redundant, she married YOU, therefore we knew she was an idiot.

I'm certain this thread will be full of riveting philosophical debates. Bookmarked for later.

Myth. Our whole brain is used, but for different functions. You're repeating that line because of the simplicity of belief found in a bygone era.

Our brain has a finite capacity. Once we replicate the upper range of its limits artificially, exceeding it will be the next obvious phase.

any limitation in humans will be able to be genetically engineered in the future.

There is more computing power in your pocket right now than was used to put a man on the moon. Have our heads gotten bigger as a species since the 60's? I mean damn dude, I feel like you're just high as a kite all the time

LOL at suggesting we need to pursue AI advancement because of human evolutionary constraints, as if any evolutionary advancements don't take hundreds of thousands of years anyway. Or as if rapid AI advancement in the next century ahead is not inevitable.

Humans will pursue and achieve advanced AI in the very near future and the constraints on human evolution have ZERO to do with it.
