Maybe "we" didn't do it at all....many believe "God" did it and that's the point of His existence?

Maybe the honorable thing for our species to do is deny our programming, stop reproducing, walk hand in hand into extinction, one last midnight - brothers and sisters opting out of a raw deal.

We are things that labor under the illusion of having a self; an accretion of sensory, experience and feeling, programmed with total assurance that we are each somebody, when in fact everybody is nobody. Maybe the honorable thing for our species to do is deny our programming, stop reproducing, walk hand in hand into extinction, one last midnight - brothers and sisters opting out of a raw deal.
I appreciate the quote from true detective, but how on earth can nature make something outside of nature? That is illogical.

Maybe we are the AI that we fear we will create.

It's a waste of time bringing such profound truths to a place like this. The average OT poster might as well be the missing evolutionary link between apes and humans.
Not only are they dumb, but they're a good little flock. Incapable of original thought and quick to reject anything that hasn't been spoon fed to them as "the norm".

Well that is what drugs are here on Earth for. And the drugs I'm talking about are the natural ones found in nature, like magic mushrooms, peyote, and the ones that they use in the Amazon that contains DMT. One could also throw in cannabis as it too is a psychedelic.
These natural means are ways that the universe and mother Earth want us to use as tools to help expand our consciousness and knowledge. Too bad today that the powers that be all want us humans to follow the $$$ and that in hand is turning our planet to shite. Notice how these psychedelics are all illegal and the majority of drugs like alcohol, meth, opiates, for the most part, don't expand one's consciousness like psychedelics do, in fact they probably inhibit it.

Aspect of nature separate from itself? I dont see it that way. To paraphrase Carl Sagan we are how the universe knows itself. We are nature that became self aware.
