Start making a whole bunch of long distance calls and max out your company credit card.

That is good....I got laid off once and I had forgotten I signed a non-compete. Bastards. They paid me a good chunk of change though because it wasn't for non-performance.

Seriously. get your rolodex, your contacts, and any files you want ready to go and do it now. Also whatever personal shite that you want to leave with....

I have had HR contact before with some cryptic message and it was nothing but be on the safe side.

Let us know how it works out. I have been there before brother. It sucks but usually works out for the best.

It would seem odd to fire him on a Tuesday, unless he really fricked up. In that case, why not today? Why give him a full day advanced warning (or implied warning)?

All those evil little bastards come from Corporate in NY, so they gotta fly here today in order to do their devious shite tomorrow.

Yes, good advice. If your phone is a company device it will be wiped clean almost immediately after termination. You should seriously back everything up just in case so that you don't lose all of your contacts. It's also a good idea to back up files but be careful what you take. They could come after you for sensitive info. God speed.

Hmmm, if you haven't done anything to warrant the attention of HR something may be up. Is HR flying in from somewhere? Have multiple people been informed of meetings with HR? You work for a public ally traded company? If all of these, I would be concerned of a layoff. File for FMLA leave today. LOL

Nah, you don't lay off top sales people - who by the way - generate the revenue that pays the bottom feeders in HR.

Frankly that would be the only thing I would be concerned of. The only other thing I can think of is if someone reported you for something inappropriate or you have information about something that someone else did that's inappropriate

Why didnt you answer "no"? Then you would have immediately known how urgent it was.

Or, today, go ask you boss to be your child's Godfather. His reaction will tell you

Good luck Count. I'm sure your performance to top notch. If they ask you anything that should be a numerical answer, you KNOW the answer is 87.
